AZ –Anji: Moen to referee.
Tomorrow`s second leg match of the Europa League Playoff round Anji Makhachkala vs AZ Alkmaar will be refereed by Norwegian Svein Moen.
Moen started his refereeing career in 1996 when officiating the matches of the Norwegian championship since the age of 25. He has been refereeing the international matches since 2005.
In September, 2010 Norwegian worked at the game held in the scope of the Champions League for the first time (Valencia - Bursaspor). In 2011 Moen was included into the elite category of the UEFA referees.
In April, 2012 FIFA put Moen into the list of the nominees for participation in the World Cup – 2014.
Guus Hiddink: "We always play away matches at Europa League".
- The first match held in Moscow was hard, but we managed to gain win. In general the matches vs the Dutch are notable for the fight that is first of all based on the tactics. For the moment it`s hard to say what tomorrow`s match will turn out. Our target is to go further. We arrived here aiming to win, we`ll play for a victory.
Of course for Anji it`s important to advance to the group stage but the most important is to build a team, work with a long-term perspective. We have both young players and experienced footballers, this is the basis on which we`ll build a new team.
Wednesday. Pre-match training. LIFE.
The pre-match training of Anji took place on the pitch of AFAS stadium, Alkmaar city, today.
Excellent football weather reigns in Holland - that very season when there is neither piercing cold nor exhausting heat. The workout was held on a perfect pitch. The head coach of the Dagestani team Guus Hiddink had mercy on the journalists and extended the open part of the training from 15 to 25 minutes.
It started with “hasbol”. After the warm-up the athletes worked in the “squares”, held two-sided game and performed shots on goal.
Georgy Gabulov who had recovered from a bad cold was working according to his individual program.

Andrey Gordeev: “To curb pressure and control play”
- AZ is unlikely to rush forward headlong, it shows another football, tactical, and they realize that to give spare space to our forwards means run risks. But anyway AZ must win back and it`ll press our goal. The target of Anji is to curb this pressure and try to keep the game under its control.
But these notions are common because in football you can never plan the course of the game beforehand. Any offensive ricochet or knoll and the opponent is keeping the score 1:0… All this cannot be predicted but we have an idea how to build a correct play in Alkmaar. Of course I`ll not disseminate the details of it.
